The Novatus Software-as-a-Service ("SaaS") delivery model provides a full service solution requiring only a web browser for user access, eliminating the need for internal IT support and hardware costs.  The Novatus DataSite Orlando SaaS Hosting facility is a 130,000 square foot; world-class data center facility offering the latest physical and technical solutions and is SAS 70 Type II Certified.  In addition to the primary data center in Orlando, Novatus has all client data replicated to a backup disaster recovery facility in Dallas, TX which provides an additional level of redundancy and full business continuity in the event of a catastrophic disaster at the primary site.  The disaster recovery, hot backup center can be up and running within 24 hours ensuring your system will always be available. Our SaaS solution provides our clients secure access to their mission critical Novatus Contract management system 24x7x365. The SaaS all-inclusive annual hosting fees includes your license, maintenance, help-desk and technical support with all upgrades and enhancements an average of 3-4 times per year. 

Data Center Facility – Physical Security
DataSite is a world class data center facility built to meet the demanding power and cooling needs of the modern computing environment.  The Tier III data center design provides for a completely redundant and continually operating facility that has a 100% uptime track record.

Novatus Network Reliability
The Novatus SaaS Network is fully redundant in all aspects with all hardware having high availability failover hardware running within the network.  In the unlikely event of a hardware outage, users are automatically re-routed, without disruption, to the failover equipment.  Dual diverse internet connections are utilized to provide a redundant connection to the internet.

Novatus Network Security
The Novatus network has multiple layers of firewalls from diverse vendors. Additional intrusion protection systems ensure that your data is secure from breach and attack.  Novatus performs scheduled intrusion detection testing to ensure the highest level of network security.  In addition, Novatus recently successfully passed a 3rd party intrusion detection and vulnerability test by a Global 1000 company, who is now a live client with multiple divisions multiple locations on our SaaS Hosting Services.

Novatus Secure Transmission of Data
All data is transmitted to and from the application using SSL, 128 bit encryption, the same technology that is used in online banking applications.

Novatus Backup Procedures – Off-Site Secure Storage
Novatus performs nightly tape backups on all client data.  Client data is encrypted utilizing the Novatus utilizes “openssl encrypting using the aes-256-cbc algorithm” to perform encryption of data for backup tapes for off-site storage.  Week-ending and month ending tapes are rotated and delivered via Iron Mountain bounded couriers for storage at a secure, locked, fire proof vault, stored off-site.  Month-ending tapes are stored for a 12 month period.

Ownership and Access to Your Data
Novatus clients own all data which resides in the Novatus Contracts database created using the software. Each client has their own unique credential and name database instance. Client data is never comingled with other client systems.  Novatus employees do not have direct access to client systems and data unless they are granted a user login created by client administrators for the sole purpose of providing technical support services to support your business needs. Novatus employees are bound by strict confidentiality terms and corporate policies.

Novatus Contracts System Upgrades
Novatus performs system upgrades and enhancements during scheduled maintenance periods Saturday from 10:00PM ET to Sunday at 2:00AMET. Novatus provides thirty (30) days advance notification to our clients prior to scheduled maintenance and system upgrades. 

Return of Client Data
In the event of termination of your SaaS Hosting Services with Novatus, we will return your data within 15 days in a mutually agreeable format via tangible media or secure download.

Novatus Contracts Browser Requirements
The minimum requirement for desktop PC operation of Novatus Contracts is Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 (or higher) or Mozilla Firefox 3.0.
